OUR VISION
We aim to encourage young English Language Learners to read more books in order to develop skills they need to succeed not only in school but in life. As well as to use books to give them the confidence they need to speak up in class.

- Get permission from the school to get an area to launch/host the book club
- Recruit at least high school and/or college students to help out in the sessions
- Select books to use for the literacy group
- Make various lesson plans for the sessions
- Raise enough money to run and sustain the program
SECOND-YEAR GOALS:
- Start sessions, meet every Friday of the week from 4 p.m to 5 p.m
- Make Read to Succeed a community lab site for students at Banneker AHS
- Start sessions, meet every Friday of the week from 4 p.m to 5 p.m
- Contact book donors and stores that are willing to donate snacks for the book club
